Château La Gaffelière is a Bordeaux wine estate located in the Saint-Émilion region and is one of the oldest family vineyards in the area. The estate is located in the southern part of the town of Saint-Émilion, with the château building situated at the foot of the so-called Saint-Émilion plateau. The estate was rated as a Premier Grand Cru Classé in the initial Saint-Émilion classification in 1955 and has been listed as a Premier Grand Cru Classé "B" since 2021. However, since 2022, the estate has withdrawn from the controversial classification structure (such as Château Cheval Blanc, Château Ausone, etc.) and is now classified as a Premier Grand Cru Classé of Saint-Émilion.
"Chateau La Gaffeliere 2014 is really complex and very mineral, a lot is happening." Full-bodied, tight, precise. This is one of the best ever. All the efforts to restructure the vineyard have paid off.
