Château Giscours is a highly regarded 3rd Growth in Margaux. The 2012 vintage, which favored Merlot, produced a wonderfully charming and approachable expression of the appellation. Now beautifully mature, it reveals an engaging bouquet of ripe cassis, blackberry jam, violets, sweet cigar box, roasted cocoa, and subtle truffles. Medium to full-bodied and exceptionally smooth on the palate, the tannins have resolved into a velvety texture, supporting a core of sweet, accessible dark fruit and vibrant acidity.
