[Chateau Gloria 2021]
Robert Parker rating: 92/100
James Suckling rating: 94/100
The winery was established by the late Latour manager Henri Martin in the 1950s. Therefore, it did not appear in the 1855 classification, but if there were an update, it would definitely be included. Together with its big brother St. Pierre, the quality here has seen a tremendous improvement over the past few years, making it one of the top performers in St. Julien today.
The 2021 Gloria performed excellently, exuding aromas of cherry, blackcurrant, and licorice, with a medium to full-bodied texture, rich and fleshy mouthfeel, seamless palate, mature tannins, and perfectly integrated acidity. This is a charming medium-bodied contender that will provide ample appeal for the next decade and beyond.
Grape variety:
61% Cabernet Sauvignon, complemented by 26% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc, and 8% Petit Verdot
Under the law of Hong Kong, intoxicating liquor must not be sold or supplied to a minor in the course of business.
