Favia is an ultra-premium Napa Valley cult winery crafted by former Screaming Eagle winemaker Andy Erickson and viticulturist Annie Favia. The 2019 Cerro Sur, driven by Cabernet Franc from Coombsville, is a spectacular triumph. It pours an opaque purple and explodes with intense aromatics of blackberry preserve, red cherries, roasted cocoa, fresh mint, and crushed rocks. Full-bodied, densely concentrated, and beautifully layered, it features a massive framework of ultra-fine, velvety tannins and a wonderfully long, harmonious finish.
