[Chateau Ferriere 2018]
Located in the Margaux region of Bordeaux, France, Chateau Ferriere was classified as a third-growth estate in 1855.Although the estate is not large, its performance is extraordinary. The estate's greatest feature is its implementation of organic and biodynamic farming, which not only maintains the sustainable development of the vineyard but also maximizes the land's potential, bringing more refined flavors and depth to the wine.
The aroma is fragrant, elegant, and lively, with controllable power, depth, and intensity. It exudes bright blackberry and raspberry scents, along with a hint of crushed red berries, accompanied by faint notes of purple plum, iris, and lily, as well as subtle hints of timut pepper and spices. The taste is rich in fruitiness, well-balanced, juicy/mineral, fresh, elegant, with a certain aromatic purity, mild, low in fat, with a certain straightness/fullness and good structure. This wine displays bright blackberry, plum, and fresh red berry flavors on the palate, accompanied by notes of lily, violet, chocolate, roasted, and fresh hazelnuts, with a very delicate touch of red tea and toasted oak. The length is quite good. The tannins are delicate, with excellent structure and great hardness. The finish carries a hint of praise/dark chocolate.
Grape variety:
68% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot, 5% Petit Verdot, 2% Cabernet Franc
