Chateau Pedesclaux was classified as a Fifth Growth in the 1855 Medoc classification.The history of the estate dates back to 1810, when Bordeaux wine merchant Urbain Pierre Pedesclaux purchased part of the vineyard plots from Chateau Grand Puy and established his own estate.The estate changed hands several times and was finally purchased by Francoise and Jacky Lorenzetti in 2009.
"A quite rich soy sauce and earthy aroma, it is a solid red wine with a fairly robust core, but it is not very charming at the moment. However, the harmony at the finish is quite good."
Grape varieties: 89% Merlot, 6% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Petit Verdot & 2% Cabernet Franc
