Château Fombrauge is the largest Grand Cru Classé in Saint-Émilion, masterfully owned by Bernard Magrez. The 2018 vintage is a powerhouse wine, perfectly reflecting the gloriously warm and ripe year. It embraces a muscular, robust, and deeply concentrated modern Right Bank profile. It pours an opaque ruby-purple and explodes with intense aromatics of black cherry preserve, dark plum, roasted cocoa, and luxurious vanilla/toasted oak. Full-bodied and dense, the palate is structured around a massive core of velvety, ripe tannins and sweet dark fruit. Highly rewarding and age-worthy.
