[Chateau de Sales 2017]
Château de Sales is a Bordeaux producer and also the largest estate in the Pomerol region.The estate covers 90 hectares (222 acres), with just over half of it under vine.The soil is mainly a mix of sandy gravel and clay fragments.Château de Sales is renowned for producing wines that can be enjoyed when young, with only 50% of the wine aged in barrels.
The aroma of Chateau de Sales 2017 is delightful, without any unusually complex flavors, but it exudes scents of red berries, warm gravel, and a hint of black truffle. The palate has a medium body, with tannins that are slightly rustic and coarse, but the fruit flavors are rich here, with a hint of lovely white pepper and clove in the finish.
