[Domaine du Clos des Tourelles 2020]

Domaine du Clos des Tourelles is a historic estate located at the foot of the village of Gigondas in the Rhône Valley, managed by the renowned Perrin family. The soil is unique to the area, composed of calcareous limestone with a very specific sandy matrix. The estate is planted primarily with old vine Grenache, which forms the heart of this cuvée, complemented by Syrah.

The 2020 vintage of Domaine du Clos des Tourelles reveals a superb, dense ruby-red color with deep purple highlights. The nose is elegant and expressive, offering a bouquet of ripe black fruits such as blackberries and blueberries, interwoven with spicy notes of pepper, licorice, and a hint of violet. On the palate, the wine is refined and full-bodied, showcasing a beautiful structure and richness. The tannins are well-integrated and silky, leading to a long, persistent finish marked by the freshness of the fruit and mineral touches typical of the terroir.
