[Dom Perignon Luminous 2006]
James Suckling rating: 93/100
Champagne Dom Perignon, produced by Moët & Chandon, is one of the most representative brands of French champagne.Generally, champagne reaches its maturity after 5 years, but once it surpasses 10 years, it starts to decline. However, Dom Perignon champagne is an exception; 10 years of aging is precisely its peak maturity: delicate, elegant, with a hint of roasted chestnut aroma, a slightly sour and mildly sweet astringency, full of charm and captivating.
"Dom Perignon Luminous 2006, a platinum-colored top cuvée, contains more Chardonnay than Pinot Noir. When opened, it releases a deep and enticing aroma, with strong and fresh scents of pineapple, peach, and orange." The taste is lively and elegant; this is a full-bodied, exceptionally aromatic, and fruit-forward DP, with a long and tension-filled finish.
Grape varieties:
55% Pinot Noir, 45% Chardonnay
