Château Laroque is the rising star of Saint-Émilion, experiencing a spectacular renaissance under winemaker David Suire. Boasting the largest 100% limestone plateau vineyard in the appellation, the terroir profoundly shapes this wine. The 2018 vintage, a wonderfully warm and ripe year, is a monumental success, balancing massive fruit concentration with electrifying limestone tension. It pours an opaque purple and reveals a highly precise bouquet of dark cherries, blueberry, crushed violets, saline sea breeze, and intense chalky minerality. Full-bodied, densely packed yet seemingly weightless, it features ultra-fine, gripping tannins and a brilliant, energetic finish.
