Cragganmore 12 Year Old is widely considered one of the most complex and intellectually rewarding single malts in Speyside. Famously championed by the late whisky writer Michael Jackson for its profoundly layered nose, it owes its unique character to the distillery's unusual flat-topped stills. This creates a remarkably robust, 'meaty' spirit. It reveals an incredibly intricate bouquet of sweet floral notes, honey, toffee, roasted nuts, and subtle riverside herbs. On the palate, it is rich, rounded, and malty, delivering waves of sweet stone fruit, finishing with a lingering, elegant, unpeated dryness and hints of sandalwood.
