【Chateau Croix Mouton 2019】
Château Croix Mouton is located in the town of Lugon, situated on the clay soils of "Ile de Carney." The environment is filled with rustic charm and true countryside appeal, with grapes harvested during the misty morning sunrises over the Dordogne River, occasionally stirred by passing sailboats. The founder, Jean-Philippe Janoueix, hails from the esteemed Bordeaux winemaking dynasty. The family was established by Joseph Janoueix in 1898, and Jean-Philippe Janoueix founded his own branch in 1994. The "M" on the label changes its typeface and color each year to reflect the unique personality of that vintage.
Chateau Croix Mouton 2019 is the 25th-anniversary edition designed by Joseph Janoueix, featuring 98% Merlot. In the hands of the winemaker Joseph, it has become a legend in Bordeaux. Each year, the artistic design of the "M" varies, making it a favorite among collectors. It boasts intense red and white fruit aromas, a dynamic and firm structure, and high complexity. The long finish leaves one immersed in the delightful realm of fine wine, with perfectly ripe blackberries, sweet tannins, delicate structure, and subtle fruit flavors, smooth and lingering.
Grape Varieties:
