Chateau Cos Labory is located in the Saint-Estephe appellation of the Haut-Medoc region in Bordeaux, adjacent to the renowned Chateau Lafite-Rothschild and Chateau Cos d'Estournel, making it a prime location.

The name of Cos Labory winery has two origins: one is because it is located on the hill of Cos, and the other is derived from the name of the winery's first owner, Francois Labory.The owner's surname combined with the estate's location name became the name "Cos Labory," which is still used today.The winery is rated as a fifth growth in the Bordeaux 1855 classification.

Chateau Cos Labory 2011 showcases the traditional hard tannins of Saint-Estèphe.This indicates that it will slowly develop, and as it matures into a refined and complex wine, it will gradually reveal the potential of red berry fruit and acidity.On the aromatic edge, it has a hint of umami, with some caramel notes, good earthy fruit, and liveliness.
