This is a reproduction of a 16th-century German craft, originally a sculpture adorned with gold and pearls. The original collector was Empress Catherine of Russia, and this piece is now preserved in the winery's attached museum.
"Chateau Clerc Milon 2013, which is a blend of 58% Cabernet Sauvignon, 27% Merlot, 12% Petit Verdot, and 3% Cabernet Franc, is bigger, richer, and more complete than its sibling d'Armailhac." The yield was only 23 hectoliters per hectare, the wine is deep plum/ruby in color, medium-bodied, with a full mouthfeel, and flavors of vanilla and blackcurrant.
