[Chateau Clerc Milon 2010]
Robert Parker: 94/100
Chateau Clerc Milon is a red wine from the Pauillac region of Bordeaux, France, meticulously crafted by the Rothschild group's winemaking team.Chateau Clerc Milon has a strong style, with abundant tannins, rich fruit flavors, and a full-bodied profile. It exhibits the elegant character typical of high-quality Pauillac wines and has considerable aging potential. Its label design stands out among many classified wines, featuring two clowns dancing. This is a reproduction of a 16th-century German craft, originally a sculpture adorned with gold and pearls. The original collector was Empress Catherine of Russia, and this piece is now preserved in the winery's attached museum.
"This is one of the best Chateau Clerc Milons I have ever tasted, with a complex aroma of cedar wood, red and black fruits, white chocolate, and blackcurrants." A very powerful wine, this wine has impressive purity and texture, a rich mouthfeel, relatively sweet tannins, but the already very appealing complexity, length, and richness are hard to ignore. This is an excellent effort and one of the usually reasonably priced wines in the classified growths.
Grape variety:
50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 36% Merlot, 11% Cabernet Franc
Under the law of Hong Kong, intoxicating liquor must not be sold or supplied to a minor in the course of business.
