Robert Parker rating: 92/100
James Suckling rating: 95/100
Chateau Haut Brion is a winery with a legendary reputation: it is the only one among the 61 classified growths of Bordeaux that is not located in the Medoc region, and it is also the only top Bordeaux winery that produces both red and white wines.Additionally, although it is the smallest estate among the five great Bordeaux châteaux, it was the first to gain fame.Chateau Haut Brion is aged in new oak barrels for 20 to 24 months, possessing a unique mineral character, exuding rich aromas of black fruits, cigars, chocolate, and cedar wood. Its taste is extremely complex; it appears subtle and gentle at first, but quickly reveals a powerful sensation, with an exceptionally long finish.
Le Clarence Haut Brion 2017 presents a deep garnet-purple color, starting with youthful notes of cedar chest and crushed blackcurrants, giving way to a core of raspberry pie, cherry liqueur, black cherry preserves, and unsmoked cigars, with a touch of crushed stones. The body is medium, with a mouthwatering taste of red and black fruits, delicate yet firm tannins, fresh and bold, with a long-lasting earthy finish.
Grape variety:
55% Merlot, 5.3% Cabernet Franc, 38% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 1.7% Petit Verdot
Under the law of Hong Kong, intoxicating liquor must not be sold or supplied to a minor in the course of business.
