Carruades de Lafite is the second wine of Chateau Lafite Rothschild, a renowned red wine from the Pauillac region of Bordeaux, France. Lafite is one of the five First Growths in the 1855 classification and is owned by the famous Rothschild family. The name Chateau Lafite Rothschild is synonymous with top-tier red wine, often the first that comes to mind when discussing the best.

"This second wine has significantly improved in quality over the past decade. It is an outstanding wine that exhibits characteristics similar to Lafite but lacks its body, depth, and aging potential. The 2005 vintage, though just a Second Wine, has more personality than its sibling, Chateau Lafite First Wine, showcasing abundant red and black fruit flavors, along with spice box and earthy notes.
