Chateau de Beaucastel is located in the Cote du Rhone region of France.The winery was established by the Beaucastel family in the 16th century. Chateau de Beaucastel covers an area of 130 hectares, with 100 hectares planted with grapevines, and the remaining 30 hectares used for crop rotation with grapevines.The vineyard of Chateau de Beaucastel has a rare terroir, with rounded pebbles, clay, and gravel covering the underlying limestone, resulting in excellent drainage.

"Chateau de Beaucastel Rouge 201 is a fine wine, with a rare concentration and depth in its vintage." The aromas and flavors of blueberries, crushed flowers, pepper, and violets perfectly blend with the medium to full-bodied structure and tannins of Beaucastel, showcasing impressive purity and ample length. It is not massive, but still requires 4 to 5 years of cellaring, and will keep for another decade thereafter."
