The 2014 Château Branaire-Ducru (""Zhou Botong"") is a textbook classic Bordeaux vintage. Blessed with an exceptional late-season Indian summer, the Cabernet Sauvignon ripened beautifully, providing a firm, elegant backbone. It presents a highly expressive nose of pure cassis, dark plum, graphite, and the estate's signature note of dark chocolate. On the palate, it is medium to full-bodied, sharply focused, and energetic, with finely woven tannins and a crisp, lingering finish. A highly intellectual and rewarding Saint-Julien.
