The 1982 Château Beychevelle is a historic artifact from arguably the most legendary Bordeaux vintage of the 20th century. Now fully mature, it offers a profoundly moving, tertiary-driven tasting experience. The bouquet is a complex kaleidoscope of dried figs, worn leather, humidor/cigar box, undergrowth, and subtle cedarwood. On the palate, it is medium-bodied, remarkably soft, and completely seamless, with tannins that have melted entirely into the wine. A rare, aristocratic, and deeply intellectual old Bordeaux.
