[Antonin Cosnier Corton Renardes Grand Cru 2019]
In 2018, Antonin Cosnier took over part of the family land near the village of Pernand-Vergelesses in the heart of Burgundy to produce his own wine. The estate consists of five plots of Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru and Pernand-Vergelesses Premier Cru, managed according to Anthony's methods. He adheres to sustainable viticulture, hand-tilling the land and focusing on micro-cuvées.His cellar is a place of experimentation, where he observes the nuances of his micro-cuvées: for example, comparing the impact of barrel sizes on aging or the influence of different selections from the same plot. The result is a series of poetic, expressive mineral wines.
Antonin Cosnier Corton Renardes Grand Cru 2019 has aromas of red currants and cherries, with the unique leather notes of the Les Renardes climate, and exhibits extraordinary elegance with distinct, clear cherry and earthy fruit characteristics. Layered, with rich tannins but smooth and approachable, this wine is suitable for drinking young but can also age for ten years.
Grape variety: 100% Pinot Noir
