Ardbeg An Oa is a wonderfully rounded and more approachable expression within the Ardbeg core range. Its unique character is achieved by marrying whiskies aged in sweet Pedro Ximénez (PX) sherry casks, spicy virgin oak, and ex-bourbon barrels in the distillery's bespoke Gathering Vat. This process softens Ardbeg's intense smoky edges, resulting in a beautifully balanced malt. Aromas of sweet toffee, ripe banana, and baked apple mingle effortlessly with classic cigar smoke. The palate is smooth and creamy, layered with milk chocolate and subtle spices.
