【Aile d'Argent Blanc du Chateau Mouton Rothschild 2017】
Robert Parker Rating: 93/100
Chateau Mouton Rothschild is the last of the five First Growths to be classified as a Premier Cru. In the 1855 classification, it was designated as a Second Growth, but after years of dedication under the management of Baron Philippe de Rothschild, it was successfully elevated to First Growth status in 1973, breaking a long-standing precedent. Aile d'Argent Blanc is a top-tier dry white wine from Chateau Mouton Rothschild. As the estate's first white wine, it was given the enchanting name "Aile d'Argent," meaning "Silver Wing," by Baroness Philippe de Rothschild.
"This outstanding effort is avant-garde, atypical, sexy, and gorgeous. Sweet black currants, black cherries, licorice, tobacco leaf, and spices all exist in the complex aroma. It offers generous, rounded, sweetness and velvety mature tannins on the palate. It's surprising that this wine has become so avant-garde, precocious, and delicious. It seems to have a lifespan of 25 years or more."
Grape Varieties:
53% Sauvignon Blanc, 46% Semillon, 1% Muscadelle
