[Chateau d'Armailhac 2014]
Robert Parker rating: 90/100
Chateau d'Armailhac is one of the wineries under the Bordeaux Five winery Chateau Mouton. The winery, which is nicknamed "Single Guy" by wine enthusiasts in Hong Kong, features Bacchus, the god of wine and grapes.Chateau d’Armailhac is located to the north of the village of Pauillac, adjacent to the southern side of Mouton and bordering the Carruades de Lafite vineyard to the south. As a result, the vineyard also has quite excellent conditions, with the soil primarily composed of gravel, mixed with some sandy, clay, and limestone components.
"Chateau d’Armailhac 2014 is fresh and clean, filled with abundant fruit: blackberry and raspberry juice, with a hint of cedar aroma when aerated; it has a medium body, smooth tannins, delicate acidity, and a finish with distinct mineral flavors."This is a mature and complex Chateau d’Armailhac, likely best to drink in 4-5 years. It deserves my recommendation, even though I don't think it's the greatest Chateau d'Armailhac in recent years."
Grape variety:
50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 36% Merlot, 12% Cabernet Franc, and 2% Petit Verdot
Under the law of Hong Kong, intoxicating liquor must not be sold or supplied to a minor in the course of business.
