Chateau La Tour Carnet was classified as a fourth-growth estate in the 1855 Médoc classification. After being acquired by Bernard Magrez in 2000, its quality significantly improved, with Robert Parker calling it the most cost-effective of all the classified estates.Using drones (one of the latest technologies acquired by Bernard Magrez) to analyze vineyard plots from the air has deepened the understanding of each plot.For example, the terroir of Labyrinthe is more suitable for Merlot, while the slopes are better for Cabernet.Chateau La Tour Carnet has an extensive 190-hectare vineyard, of which only 2.46 hectares are used to produce La Tour Carnet Blanc, resulting in a very limited yield.
