[Charles Noellat Vosne Romanee 1er Cru Les Chaumes 2013]
Charles Noellat thrived for quite a long time, thanks to its excellent terroir, until it was sold to Lalou Bize-Leroy in 1988, helping to form the pillars of Domaine Leroy.
Although the family sold the estate, fortunately, they retained the rights to the estate's name and original label. Anne Noellat's son, Stephan Moreau, now uses them for his own unique wine merchant business - Maison Charles Noellat. He directly procures bottled wines from the Burgundy producer's cellar, which is renowned for retaining aged stock. Therefore, all the following wines have been recently released from the cellar and are in perfect condition.
It has extraordinary elegance and distinct, clear characteristics of cherry and earthy fruits. Well-defined layers, rich in tannins, yet smooth and approachable, this wine is suitable for young drinking but can age for ten years.
Grape variety:
100% Pinot Noir
