[Clos des Lunes Lune D’Argent 2018]
James Suckling rating: 93/100
Clos des Lunes Lune Estate was acquired in 2011 by Olivier Bernard, the owner of Domaine de Chevalier. The estate's soil is primarily composed of deep, well-draining gravel, clay, and limestone, which impart strength, finesse, and freshness to the wine.At the same time, thanks to the hillside terrain and the developed underground water system, the vineyard boasts excellent drainage and moisture balance capabilities, providing favorable conditions for high-density planting. This allows the award-winning Domaine de Chevalier winemaking team to deeply explore the characteristics of each plot of vines.
The 2018 Lune d'Argent exudes the aromas of fresh grapefruit, lemon zest, and lime leaves, with subtle notes of chalk dust, white pepper, and dill seed. The body is medium, with a crisp and clean mouthfeel, featuring lovely pure citrus and chalky flavors.
Grape variety:
70% Semillon, 30% Sauvignon Blanc
