This is a reproduction of a 16th-century German craft, originally a sculpture adorned with gold and pearls. The original collector was Empress Catherine of Russia, and this piece is now housed in the winery's affiliated museum.

The 1988 wine has a deep color, with medium-intensity aromas of vanilla, smoke, and blackcurrant. The hardness it had in its youth has disappeared, and now, the rich creamy texture offers considerable roasted fruit flavors, complemented by a lot of oak.
