La Pousse d'Or is a renowned historic estate in Volnay, boasting an extraordinary vineyard with many premier and grand cru vineyards. It was previously in the hands of Gérard Potel, and is now the property of Patrick Landanger. The work in the vineyard is often closer to organic farming, and the winemaking is done as gently as possible in the most natural way, with careful aging (low proportion of new barrels). The quality of this work makes it possible to produce wines with extraordinary aromas and aging potential.
Pommard 1er cru Les Jarollieres opens with aromas of red (cherry) and black (blackberry, blueberry) fruits, as well as licorice and mocha coffee. The same fruity aromas are found on the palate, with good concentration and roundness, creating an overall sense of wonderful harmony.
