Chateau Lafon-Rochet was classified as a Fourth Growth in the 1855 Bordeaux classification, and the current owner, Michel Tesseron, is also the owner of Chateau Pontet-Canet.The estate has approximately 45 hectares of vineyards, with gravelly soil as the main component. As early as 30 years ago, they began gradually introducing biodynamic methods. The winery also established a second label, Les Pelerins de Lafon-Rochet.
